AE Blakeney SaskTel Bursary!! NEW*

SaskTel believes in the value of supporting the community and youth of our province. As such, SaskTel is offering the A.E Blakeney SaskTel Bursary to a deserving individual entering post-secondary education. Outlined below is a brief summary of the A.E. Blakeney SaskTel Bursary:

A.E. Blakeney SaskTel Bursary
The bursary is available to support an outstanding Saskatchewan student pursuing post-secondary studies. The total value of the bursary is $40,000 over a period of four years. The successful recipient will be awarded $10,000 annually. Annual payments will be dependent on the student maintaining an acceptable academic average, continued enrollment in one of the eligible fields of study, and continued demonstration of financial need.

Student Eligibility
1. Financial need: Must be in need of financial assistance in order to complete his/her studies. Needs assessment will be based on the Canada Student Loans formula.
2. High academic standing: Must be graduating or a graduate from a Saskatchewan high school with an academic standing of 80% or greater.
3. Saskatchewan resident: Must be a Saskatchewan resident, for a minimum of 12 months at time of application. Must be a Canadian citizen or Landed Immigrant (granted the right to live in Canada permanently by immigration authorities).
4. Full-time university student: Must be a full-time student, (enrolled in a minimum of 80 per cent of a full course load) entering a post-secondary program of at least four academic years at the University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina, or First Nations University of Canada. Preference will be given to those enrolled in Business/Commerce/Administration with major in Marketing or Accounting; Electrical Engineering; Computer Science; or Information Technology.
Application deadline is March 10, 2012

Learn what it's like to be a Luther student on Thursday, November 3. The event is for prospective students and their families. You will choose from a buffet of information sessions, including:


  • subject areas in Arts, Fine Arts, Science and pre-professional studies

  • living in residence

  • scholarships and awards

  • U of R programs and services

  • how to apply

  • and so much more ...

Luther professors will be on hand to give mini-lectures and behind-the-scene tours and current students will profile examples of their work. The evening will conclude with a free pizza supper and opportunites for conversation with Luther students.
